Aims
The Functional Skills qualification in English at Level 1 is designed to prepare learners for work, study and life. It is suitable for a wide range of individuals wishing to improve their English skills and progress onto employment or further qualifications.
The purpose of this course is to enable learners to read, write, speak, listen and communicate with confidence, and to apply this knowledge and these skills effectively to a range of purposes in the workplace and in real life situations.

What you will learn on this course
Listen, understand and make relevant contributions to discussions with others in a range of contexts.
